If your U.S. passport is not in your possession or has been expired for 5 years or more, it will not be eligible for renewal. Instead, you must apply for a new passport. Child passports and damaged passports are not eligible for renewal.
An additional government fee of $187.13 must be paid directly to the U.S. Department of State. You should send this to us with your documents. Don’t worry, it’s included in the checklist we give to you to finish the process!
